By Reuben S. Seguritan and Jordin Isip

This book makes reference to significant moments in the history of Filipino immigration to America, then gives an in-depth discussion of the issues and concerns affecting immigrant Filipinos and Filipino Americans. The author recollects history, works his way through the long, weary period of subjugation and racial prejudice, limns their image and identity problem, sounds a call for unity and empowerment and circles back to images of the homeland. An immigrant professional himself, he draws from his personal experiences and his encounters with prominent Filipino American experience in America. Truly, the book is a contribution to contemporary literature on immigrant struggles and experiences.
