This is the fifth volume in a series of books intended by Likhaan: UP Creative Writing Circle to be a collection of stories and poems representative of the finest work being written and published every year. Each year, research teams gather as many journals, magazines and other periodicals (including student publications) as they can find. Some writers, knowing that this is an ongoing project, submit copies of their published stories or poems. Most often, these are duplicates of materials already in the hands of editors. Occasionally, they are not, and then the editors are happy to include them for consideration. From this wealth of material, the editors make their selection of around twenty stories and forty poems...We thus take pleasure in presenting these volumes, which we dedicate to all who have been so generous with time, money, and other forms of assistance to the U.P.
