Wilhelmina Orozco is .an independent filmmaker concerned with as well as engaged in feminist and other social issues, especially with reference to the Third World.

Her first paper is based on the research she made for the film documentary, "Coconut, Our Crop in the Philippines, Their Food Overseas" (1981).

In May 1981, she was invited to attend the First International Conference of Women on film and Video in Amsterdam, Netherlands. From there she proceeded to visit the other countries of Europe and in the process met. her countrywomen and men. She spent most of her time in London, England where she got a better insight into the lives of Filipino migrant workers.
