On the Trail of Dominican Engineers Artists & Saints in the Cagayan Valley & Batanes by Florentino H. Hornedo

This title is a collection of essays written by the author. The first essay talks about the fourth centenary of the arrival of Dominicans in July 1587, which laid the foundation of the missionary Province of the Most Holy Rosary in the Philippines. The second essay is a part of a report on archive readings and field research mainly from 1985 onwards save for the Batanes material which was from an earlier research in 1982 in connection with the bicentennial celebration of the formal incorporation of Batanes into the dominion of Spain in the Philippines. The third essay on the religious art of Batanes was an attempt to document visually in 1983 the then extent religious art works in Batanes.
