Just like Datu Lubay who was marginalized even with his big contribution in the lives of Antiqueno, the sad characters in this collection are also displaced. The character at Alot (Gupit) left San Jose and when he returned, he lost his friends and acquaintances and became an alien to his hometown. Miguel/Michelle in the story of "Ang Sastre" was shunned away by his dad because of his being gay. The 2 friends in "Abyan" (Kaibigan) has broken their friendship. The character in "Gugma sa Bangkok"(Pag-ibig sa Bangkok) went to another city and found love in a dark and intricate bath house. A boy in "Library" danced in American Swing dance but he didn't get in the library because the visitors were let in first. In the last story, Imelda's husband and her children left her in a poor state but she is still full of hope. All of the characters are hopeful, sad, but full of hope.

A Philippine import.
