Whether such an experience is considered mystical or not is classified by the Western perspective - which is to be expected, for the Philippines is predominantly a Christian nation. Forgotten in the process are the undercurrent early religious traditions that inevitably color today's practice of Christianity - including that of mysticism. Although not readily admitted by many, it is nonetheless a reality experienced by most cultural whenever there is a meeting of religious beliefs.
