The DLSU Reader brings together the published literary works of faculty and alumni of De la Salle University-Manila from the different regions in the Philippines. Most of the selections included here were the choice of the writers themselves. The others were canonical or prizewinning works. By grouping them according to the geographical regions in the Philippines, it is hoped that the readers may find topics and themes which would lead to a further awareness and appreciation of the unique characteristics of each place, and at the same time identify the similarities that will lead to an understanding of the Filipino.
