This work covers the pre-history account of the Samal people until the 1900s, a historical study in ethnic origination, dispersion, and migration. An interesting blending of historical and anthropological data. The Mindanao Sea Region in the extreme posterior of the Philippine Archipelago with islets formed like a string of pearls, surrounded by endless waters, are the homes of the Samal people, one of the smaller and less-known groups residing in Mindanao. The sizeable group of Samal inhabitants are found in Sulu, particularly in Siasi and Pangutaran, and in Tawi-Tawi.
