Originally written as a thesis, this book provides a good overview of the situation of Civil Military relations in the Philippines prior to the imposition of Martial Law. Written at the tail end of Martial Law, some of the data used may need updating in light of uncovered facts and evidence that may revise some assertions. Nonetheless, on the whole, the argument and illustration of the field still finds relevance in today’s situation.
